The speculations going round that a hitherto chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogbomoso, Hon. Adeniran Alagbe, has dumped the party became a reality today, his resignation letter from the party revealed.
He dumped the party through a letter of resignation submitted to the chairman of the party in Isale Ora/Saja ward, Ogbomoso North local government area of the state, on Tuesday.
In the letter titled “Letter of Resignation from the All Progressives Congress”, Hon. Alagbe said that the resignation became imperative due to lack of fairness, justice and equity in the party.
According to the letter made available to PanNIgerian News, he said “I resign my membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) due to lack of fairness, justice and equity and that the party has been made the exclusive right of a particular person and the lack of internal democracy.”
Hon. Alagbe has yet to declare his next party and move.
The grassroots politician, who is also a financial consultant and business entrepreneur, lamented that the party seems to have been reserved for an individual at the detriment of other eminently qualified aspirants.
Hon. Alagbe, who is a staunch supporter of a former governor of Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala, has been in a race to represent Ogbomoso North State Constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly 14 years ago on the platforms of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), Action Democratic Party (ADP) and APC.
Alagbe had, earlier today, hinted that he was still reviewing his membership of the APC.The politician from Isale Ora/Saja ward in Ogbomoso North local government area told PanNigerian News that it is not compulsory he contests in the coming election.
He noted, however, that he needs to be in a party where his teaming supporters across his constituency will be carried along in the scheme of things.
