The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Global Alumni Association under the leadership of Engr. Olalekan Badmus will, on Wednesday, organise capacity building workshop for her alma mater’s graduating students.
The workshop is part of the activities to mark LAUTECH’s 16th Convocation and Founder’s Day celebration which is slated for Friday, April 19, 2024.
The workshop which is themed “Stepping Stones: Building Your Path to Success After Graduation” will hold 11: 00 a.m. at The Great Hall, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso.
The global body, will also, during the Friday convocation, present cash awards to deserving best graduating students in the faculties of agricultural Sciences, pure and applied sciences, engineering and technology, basic medical sciences, clinical sciences, nursing, environmental sciences and management sciences.
This is contained in a letter addressed to the registrar of the institution, Dr. Kayode Ogunleye, by the global general secretary of the body, Prof. Azeem Ige, and made available by the global public relations officer, Dr. Obasanjo Babalola.
Equally in his personal capacity as the global president of the body, Engr. Badmus will also, during the convocation, present valuable cash awards to the best graduating students in the faculty of engineering and technology, department of computer engineering and department of computer science.
According to Dr. Babalola, the guest speakers at the workshop will include: Ms Maryam Abisola Adefarati, C. E. O., African Regional Cluster, Microsoft as well as Mr Fikayo Benson, Director of Global Goals, United Nations Association, Chicago.
Speaking to pannigeriannews.com, Dr. BabalolaI said, “I want to encourage our dear graduating students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels to come out en-masse and attend punctually as the forum would provide insights to life after graduation, among others.
“Our alumni body has seleceted very seansoned professionals as guest speakers.”
