2023: Hon. Ogunwuyi inaugurates joint campaign council for PDP senatorial/reps candidates in Ogbomoso

As part of the strategies for the 2023 general elections and towards having a strong campaign structure, the Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi, on Saturday, inaugurated a Joint Campaign Council for the duo of Oyo North senatorial candidate, Hon. Akinwole Akinwale (Wolekanle) and the House of Representatives candidate for Ogbomoso North, South and Oriire federal constituency, Hon. Olufemi Oladokun Onireti of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The inauguration, which was performed by a representative of Hon. Ogunwuyi, Alhaji Abdulrasaq Gbadegesin (Agbeti), witnessed the presence of the chairmen of the three local government areas (Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South and Oriire), councilors, all political appointees, eminent leaders of the party, among others.
Hon. Ogunwuyi, a former representative of the federal constituency in the National Assembly, in his remark, said, “It is very sacrosanct to ensure that PDP wins the 2023 general elections and there is a need for all members of the party to work together as a team.
“It is on this premise that the Joint Campaign Council is being inaugurated today with the following membership: Prince Felix Akande, D.G., Ogbomoso North/Ogbomoso South and Oriire federal constituency and DDG, Ogbomoso zone, Oyo North Senatorial District, Hon. Kabiru Ayoade Akanji, Hon. Oyeniyi Oyedokun , Hon. Teju Alabi, Hon. George Ogunlade, Apostle Olamoyegun, Mr Kegbeyale, Engr Dayo Fagbemi (Co-cordinator, Ogbomoso South), Olawale Jelili Jibola (Co-cordinator, Ogbomoso South), Mrs Janet Oyegbile (Co-cordinator, Ogbomoso North), Damilare Sunday Olusanjo (Co-cordinator, Ogbomoso North), Mr Dele Ogunjobi (Co-cordinator, Oriire and Council Secretary, Hon. Idowu Akanbi (Co-cordinator, Oriire LG).
Also included in the committee were: Oladosu Oladayo Ebenezer (Representative of LG Youth leaders), Mrs. Agboola Yemisi Aarinola (Representative of the LG Women leaders), Ayorinde Olalekan (Youth Mobiliser), Popoola Victoria (Women Mobiliser), Akintade Taofeek Adisa, Peter Alao, Sakariyau Wahab, Abiola Adekola, Abdulateef Owonikoko, Jeremiah Sunday Adeyemo, Olufemi Oluwole and Engr (Dr) Damilare Amusan.
Prince Akande, who was a former executive chairman of Ogbomoso South Local Government Area, while speaking on behalf of the Joint Campaign Council, thanked the leadership of the PDP for the great initiative and promised that the campaign council would not take their mandate for granted as they will ensure that they work with members of the party tirelessly to deliver excellent results come 2023.
