
An entrepreneur, philanthropist and aspirant for Ogbomoso South State Constitiency in the House of Assembly ahead 2027, Amb. Lateef Mobolaji Akanbi Ibrahim (LIAM), has unveiled a comprehensive vision aimed at transforming Ogbomoso South Local Government Area of Oyo State into a hub of inclusive growth, youth empowerment, and sustainable development.
Amb. Ibrahim, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Charoite Stones Limited and founder of The Glams Realtor, disclosed this while outlining his plans to advance economic prosperity, education, and social infrastructure in the area.
He said his leadership philosophy is driven by innovation, sustainability, and service to humanity.
“Ogbomoso South is a land rich in culture, intellect, and enterprise, a community of hardworking people who have contributed immensely to the development of Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
“Eventhough I am vying for a legislative position, my vision is to build on this proud heritage by championing policies and projects that will unlock opportunities, empower our youth and women, strengthen local governance, and drive inclusive economic growth.”
Beyond his business exploits, LIAM is known for his humanitarian interventions, particularly in education and youth empowerment.
He recently sponsored 100 students in Ogbomoso South LGA for free Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinatiin (U.T.M.E.), as well as free tutorial and computer-based test (CBT) training aimed at widening access to tertiary education.
He eaid his commitment to community service and leadership was also recognised when he was turbaned as Sarkin Kudun Chiroman Iyan Zazzau in Kaduna State on September 28, 2025, a traditional honour that underscores his growing influence across regions.
Outlining his development agenda, LIAM pledged to focus on youth and women empowerment, education, healthcare, economic growth, infrastructure, and transparent governance.
He said his priority is to promote skill acquisition, vocational training, and entrepreneurship among young people while ensuring that women have access to microcredit and are adequately represented in community decision-making.
On education, he promised to pursue policies that will improve school infrastructure, enhance teacher welfare, and establish scholarship schemes for indigent but brilliant students through partnerships with non-governmental organizations and private institutions.
The philanthropist also vowed to strengthen healthcare delivery at the grassroots through the rehabilitation of primary health centres, provision of essential drugs, and maternal and child health programmes.
He further emphasised support for small businesses, artisans, and farmers through cooperative systems, agricultural extension services, and improved market facilities, all geared towards stimulating local economic growth and job creation.
He said he would advocate for fair allocation of state resources to Ogbomoso South, with focus on roads, electricity, water supply, and digital connectivity.
“Public office is a sacred trust. I will maintain open communication with constituents, hold regular town hall meetings, and operate an office that truly listens. Accountability, integrity, and service will guide every decision and action.
“Together, we can build a constituency that every son and daughter will be proud to call home,” he said.
