Ogbomoso Chief Iman: Islamic scholar charges Muslims, other stakeholders on truth, peace, unity

Amidst the crisis rocking the headship of Islam in Ogbomosoland, an Isamic scholar, Sheik Adam Thanni, has charged Muslims and other stakeholders in the land to embrace peace and seek the unity of the religion.
While calling on all and sundry to support and cooperate with the Grand Chief Imam of Ogbomosoland, Sheik Talihat Yunus Ayilara, Sheik Thanni said the crisis would not be unconnected to the inability of some people to be truthfiul in the face of any circumstance.
Sheik Thanni stated this at the 8th day fidau lecture in honour of Alhaji Bashir Ashifa Akanbi, the father of bisinessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Monsur Ayaoade Ejide, at Nurudeen Basic School, Kuye area, Ogbomoso.
Pannigeriannews.com reports that there have been accusations and counter accusations from the camp of the Chief Imam and the camp opposing him wherein there are video evidences that are widespread on many social media platforms.
Sheik Thanni, who admonished Muslims to eschew rebellion against the Islamic leader of Ogbomoso, reminded the adherents of Islam that the religion forbids conspiracy in totality.
According to him, since Sheik Ayilara has been installed, it behoves on every Muslim in the land to cooperate with him, adding that all Muslims who are opposing Sheik Ayilara are encouraged to reconcile with him for the sake of peace and unity.
“All the Muslims who feel aggrieved are encouraged to come back. We should all understand the fact that, for now, Sheik Ayilara remains the Grand Chief Imam of Ogbomosoland.
“I like to say that Muslims should shun every form of revolt and rebellion. This is the Imam that God sent to you this time. Embrace him, respect him and seek the peace of Islam and Ogbomosoland.
“I’m sure Ogbomoso has never had an Imam of this type before, considering his rich profile and exposure. Sad enough, it is the truth that is causing problem for him. He stands by the truth,” Sheik Thanni said.
