 
                The Alapa of Okin-Apa in Surulere Local Government Area of Oyo State, His Royal Majesty (HRM), Oba Prof. John Akinola Akintola, has lauded the choir of Ayo-Igbala Baptist Church, Jerry Awodoye Street, Randa, Ogbomoso, for its creativity and devotion in the service of God.
The monarch gave the commendation on Sunday during the church’s annual thanksgiving and song service, which drew members, guests, and well-wishers.
Oba Akintola, a renowned scholar and music enthusiast, noted that the choir’s performance was not only spiritually uplifting but also reflected a thoughtful blend of cultural elements in Christian worship.
“Let me commend the choir of this church for the beautiful work it is doing. I am a C&S member and once served as choir master in our church. I therefore appreciate the efforts of the choir mistress, music pastor, the minister in charge of the church, and the entire congregation for their dedication.”
The traditional ruler also made a cash donation to support the church’s music ministry and applauded the leadership for its commitment to the ongoing auditorium construction project.
Among other dignitaries who graced the occasion were the Elelemo of Elemo, Chief Abel Ajadi; Mr. and Mrs. Sunday Busayo Ajayi; Mrs. Rebecca Akande, among others, who joined in songs of praise and thanksgiving to God.
While thanking all the stakeholders, choir mistress, Mrs Felicia Adepoju, said, “I am overwelmed with joy for the grace we received to have a befitting song service for the year. I therefore thank the pastor, Rev’d Sunday Ajibowu; music minister, Pastor Zaccheaus Bankole; deacons and deaconesses, unit leaders, and members generally.
“I must also sincerely thank our Kaabiesi, His Royal Majesty, Oba Prof. John Akinola Akintola, the Alapa of Okin-Apa,for honouring our invitation. Likewise our father, Elelemo of Elemo in Oriire Local Governmemt Area, other dignitaries too numerous to mention. I thank Mr. and Mrs. Sunday Busayo Ajayi, Mrs. Rebecca Akande, our Patrons and Patronesses. Thank you all and god bless you all.”
