Ogbomosoland is In the heart of Ogbomosoland and beyond, the name Alhaji Monsur Ayoade Ejide resonates with respect, admiration, and gratitude. As the founder of Ejide Enterprises Nigeria Limited, Alhaji Ejide has established himself not only as a successful businessman but also as a beacon of generosity, faith, and service to his community.
Over the years, Alhaji Ejide has earned numerous awards and commendations in recognition of his outstanding contributions to societal development, philanthropy, and leadership. These accolades, presented by various institutions and community bodies, are testaments to his unwavering dedication to the upliftment of others and the positive transformation of his environment.
Interestingly, he has been commended variously for his gigantic contributions. The story of the Ogbomoso Passport Office Building of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS). Alhaji Ejide contributed about 85% fund for the building project.
Very recently, Alhaji Ejide received an award of the “King of Semovita in Nigeria” from Nigerian Flour Mills. Additionally, he received seven more awards from the organisation. The awards and recognition stem from his commendable contributions to Nigerian Flour Mills Ltd’s business growth and development.
A true son of Ogbomoso, Alhaji Ejide has continuously given back to his roots. One of his most impactful gestures is the donation of the Flour Mills Building at the Federal Polytechnic Ayede, situated in Ogbomoso, Oyo State. This project not only stands as a symbol of his generosity but also as a practical contribution to the advancement of technical and vocational education in the region.
Over the years, Alhaji Ejide has coupiously contributed humongously to humanity in diverse ways. During his days at the Old National Park where he retired in 2018, Alhaji Ejide, a trained economist of note and pragmatic administrator, really distinguished himself and contributed towards the development of agenc and beyond.
Further demonstrating his love and commitment to community development, Alhaji Ejide recently donated the sum of Four Million Naira (₦4,000,000) towards the growth and development of Iresa-Pupa. This generous donation was made during the 8th Iresa-Pupa Day Celebration, an event organized by His Royal Majesty, Oba Moses Olayiwola JP, Ajiboye III, the Aresa-Pupa of Iresa-Pupa, in the Surulere Local Government Area of Oyo State. The contribution has been widely lauded and will significantly support local infrastructure and communal initiatives.
In fact, this is just a tip of the iceberg when it comes to his community supports and initiatives in different areas. His commitment did not just start today; it began when he was even as a youth and student. This, he started as a student leader and activist. He was championing the cause for a better society. That early zeal for change has only grown stronger with time, now manifesting in tangible development and empowerment initiatives.
Alhaji Ejide once said this “Everything I do for Ogbomoso is from a place of love. I believe that if you are fortunate enough to rise, you must lift others with you. Our town deserves greatness, and we all have a role to play.”
