According to the Rector, “There is no way one can speak about the Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, without mentioning their names. They, like many other sons and daughters of Ogbomosoland, have contributed immensely to the growth and development of our institution, and their roles are highly appreciated.
“On behalf of the Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, ably led by Honourable Yakubu Dati, the Principal Officers, Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments and Units, staff and students, I congratulate these great supporters and contributors and wish them continued success in all their endeavours.”
While expressing further delight over their selection, the Rector, Engr. Dr. Taofeeq Adekunle Abdul-Hameed, called on sons and daughters of Ogbomoso to continue to see the Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, as a collective project worthy of support.
“As we speak, many indigenes of Ogbomoso have contributed significantly to the development of our institution. We deeply appreciate their efforts,” he said.
Dr. Abdul-Hameed also commended the Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, for his commitment to the development of the land, noting that the Polytechnic has benefitted from the monarch’s development-driven leadership.
“Kabiyesi has visited our institution and has continued to show commitment to ensuring improved road networks, security, and housing facilities within Ogbomosoland, with our Polytechnic not left out,” the Rector stated.
