The management and staff of Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, has congratulated the pioneer Rector of the institution, Dr Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed, has been conferred with the fellowship of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
Dr Abdul-Hameed, an engineer who hails from Iwo, Osun State, holds a Ph.D in Technology Management; M. Eng in Electrical Engineering; M.Sc. in Technology Management; M.Sc. in industrial and Production Engineering, FNSE, FIMC, FIPMD.
He was a former Dean of the School of Engineering Technology at Federal Polytechnic, Ede; former acting Rector of Iresi Polytechnic and until his appointment as Rector, Fedpoly, Ayede, the Chief Imam of Federal Polytechnic, Ede.
A statement on behalf of the Polytechnic management and staff by the institution’s Protocols and Public Relations Officer, Mr Sunday Adepoju, rejoices with Dr Abdul-Hameed, whom he described as an astute academic and administrator of high repute.
Adepoju explained that the contributions of Dr Abdul-Hameed in engineering and technology, scholarship, Islam and humanity at large are unquantifiable in all ramifications.
The statement read in part: “I wish to, on behalf of the management and staff of Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Oyo State, felicitate our amiable achiever par excellence, Engr Dr Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed, on the conferment of the fellowship of the Nigerian Society of Engineers on him.
“I wish to state categorically that our Rector has been of immense benefit to all and sundry. We in the Polytechnic are proud of his distinguished leadership that transcends the four walls of our institution.”
