Ayo-Igbala Baptist Church (AIBC) located on Jerry Awodoye street, Randa area of Ogbomoso, Oyo State is set to raise five hundred million naira (N500m) for new auditorium as part of activities to mark the church’s 20 years of establishment.
AIBC, a member of the Nigerian Baptist Convention (NBC), was established in September 2003 under her parent church, Ebenezer Baptist Church, Ogbomoso.
According to information made available by the trio of the church pastor, Rev’d Sunday Ajibowu; church secretary, Dr Oluwatobi Fajobi and anniversary chairman, Dn Abiodun Okeniyi, during the grand finale of the weeklong celebration on Sunday, September 10, 2023, the Oyo State governor, Engr Seyi Makinde will be the Chief Launcher while his Chief of Staff, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi will be Co-launcher; the member representing Ogbomoso North/South/ Oriire federal constituency, Hon. Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala and Hon. Olufemi Oladokun-Onireti also expected to be Co-launchers.
The Onpetu of Ijeru kingdom, Oba Sunday Oladapo Oyediran; the Alapa of Okin Apa kingdom, Oba (Prof.) John Akinola Akintola and the Olobamo of Obamo land, Oba James Adegoke Olukunle will be the Royal Fathers at the anniversary.
Revd Ajibowu enjoins philanthropists, corporate bodies, religious organisations, politicians, individuals, among others, to be part of the project, adding that God will compensate all donors beyond measure.
The weeklong event, which commenced yesterday with anniversary revival, continues today with same revival at 5p.m. and by tomorrow, Thursday, September 7, there will be praise and drama service at 5p.m.
On Friday, September 8, there will be Royal Ambassadors’ parade and health talk starting from 4p.m.
The general public, in the information made available, is also notified that on Saturday, September 9, there will be visitation to Children Kersey Home, Oke Baby, Ogbomoso at 10a.m.
The grand finale which comes up on Sunday, September 10, will feature fund raising, anniversary thanksgiving, among others beginning from 9a.m.
