
A hitherto chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogbomoso North Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Seun McNelson Babarinde, has officially decamped to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Hon. Babarinde, a.k.a Asiwaju Odo and BMS, speaking with newsmen in Ogbomoso on Monday, premised his decision to join the APC on what he called the impressive performance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his Renewed Hope Agenda for Nigeria.

He expresed his commitment to the success of the APC in the coming elections in 2027 across board.
Hon. Babarinde said, “Today, I’m delighted to come back to our party, APC. I had been in the party because moving to PDP years back.

“I can say categorically that the APC will, in 2027, reclaim Oyo State governorship and will maitain the National Assembly victory of the present. With the wide acceptability of APC, we will win resoundingly in the coming elections.”
Hon. Babarinde commended the leaders of the party at the state and grassroots levels, saying, “Our leaders at the federal, state and grassroots levels are fantastic strategists. I must sincerely commend our leaders even though they are too numerous to mention.”

“But worthy of note are distinguished Senator Abdul-Fatai Omotayo Buhari, the senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District; honourable member representing Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South and Oriire Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala; Chief Mrs. Oluwakemi Alao-Akala; Senator (Brig-Gen.) Brimo Yemi Yusuf (retd); Hon. Wumi Oladeji and other esteemed leaders of the great party. I cannot thank you enough, my followers, both within and outside the party.”
In a jubilant atmosphere at the event which held at APC Secretariat, Apake area, Ogbomoso, leaders and other critical satakeholders of the party were in attendance among who included Barrister Dapo Atanda; former chairman of Ogbomoso North LG, Hon. Ibrahim Ajagbe (Toskay); former vice chairman of O.N.LG.A, Hon. Abbass Bello; former chairmen of Ogbomoso South LGA, Hon. Wale Adeleke (Arole Akala) and Hon. Adedeji Adeyemo (Obadoba).
Also in attendance were the chairman of the APC in the council area, Alhaji Rasheed Badmus; Hon. Tunde Oloyede; Mr. Femi Oke; Mr. Tunde Babalola; Prince Wasiu Olukan; excos of the APC at local and ward levels, members of the party, among others.
Speaking in turns, the leaders of the party welcomed Hon. Babarinde back to the APC fold and expressed their delight in the decision that led to the decampment.
They maintain that the party is positioned to accommodate groups and individuals that believe in the progresss of Nigeria.
