
Brave 91.1 FM, located in Igbo-Ile community, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, on Friday, marked its third anniversary.
Speaking with Pan-Nigerian News on Friday in Igbo-Ile, on behalf of the management, the General Manager of the station and ace broadcaster, Ambassador Sanjo Saka Fẹlẹfẹlẹ, said part of the strategies to mark the milestone is presentation of awards to seven distinguished personalities who were carefully selected.
According to the General Manager, those awarded were the Executive Chairman of Ogo-Oluwa Local Government Area, Hon. Oluwaseun Ojo; Alhaji Rasaq Tunde Omilani of Tundex Mega; Owonikoko Plastic Store.
Also awarded were the Chairman of Park Management Service (PMS) in Ogbomoso zone, Comrade Jimoh Aderemi; Prophetess Funmilayo Akinloye (Ayelowa); Rev’d Niyi Adebayo of True Worshippers Church; Dr. Sarafadeen Gbadebo Raji of Al-Medinah Islamic Centre.
The station’s boss explained that while Hon. Ojo was awarded as Best Chairman in recognition of his prompt response to community engagement and service to Ogo-Oluwa Local Government Area, Tundex Mega’s selection was as customer of the year in recognition his all time patronage to Brave 91.1Fm Ogbomoso
He added that Owonikoko Plastic Store was a brand supporter in recognition of his show of love and support to Brave 91.1Fm Ogbomoso.
The management lauded Comrade Aderemi as responsive trade service in recognition of his prompt response to community service and media.
The radio station, which was officially opened on July 4, 2022, ranks higher among the its peers in the state and beyond, with excellent programming geared towards the societal needs.
Ambassador Saka, who is also a registered practitioner of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), expressed gratitude to the chairperson of the station, Yeyeluwa Oluwatoyin Odebunmi; management; staff; fans; and teeming supporters of the station for their unalloyed support to the station.
“Our distinguished chairperson, Yeyeluwa Oluwatoyin Odebunmi, has been very instrumental to the widespread breakthroughs that are daily recorded in excellent broadcasting. We are indeed grateful to her for her excellent leadership ab-initio,” the General Manager said.
He promised that the station would continue to serve the people, with strong adherence to global best practices, without trivialising the coverage of grassroots and the under-reported segment of the society.
