
Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III, has won at the Appeal Court in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
In a judgement delivered minutes ago, the cases filed by Prince Muhammed Kabiru Olaoye against the Soun which he won at the High Court were thrown away by the Appeal Court, thus affirming Oba Ghandi as the Soun.
The charge that Oba Ghandi was not a direct son of a previous Soun and that his father was not buried at the Abata burial place of past Obas was dismissed
Also, the Appeal Court upheld that Oba Ghandi was validly selected by the kingmakers.
The respondent was thus fined a sum of N500, 000 (five hundred thousand in each of the charges.
