A prominent politician and former member of the House of Representatives representing Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South and Oriire Federal Constituency, Hon. Temilola Adibi, has been buried in Ogbomoso.
The prominent politician, who also served in many capacities at the local, state, regional and federal levels, including services as Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government Area and the Director-General of the Oyo State Signage and Advertising Agency.
He breathed his last on January 21, 2025 at the age of 64.
He was buried at his residence in Ogbomoso, Oyo State after a well-attended church service held at First Baptist Church, Okeelerin, Ogbomoso.
The church auditorium was filled to the brim as eminent personalities, including the political class, business class, families, associates, friends, as well as his teeming supporters graced the event.
Pastor of the church, Rev’d Dr. Victor Oyelowo, in his sermon, remarked that Adibi was a bridge-building who connected the past with the present.
He emphasized Adibi’s dedication to service, both in governance and within the church, noting that his contributions would be remembered for years to come.
“He contributed immensely to the growth of the church. He served as a link between the past and the present and did his very best to ensure things were done right,” Oyelowo said.
The pastor further described Adibi as a leader who left a significant mark at the local, state, and federal levels.
“He made his mark, he did his best. He was a community leader who served diligently in every capacity he found himself,” he added.
Addressing the family, he urged the children of the deceased to take pride in their father’s impactful life and find solace in the legacy he left behind. He also encouraged them to remain strong and carry on his values of service and dedication..
