The Federal Polytechnic Ayede has commiserated with the Chairman, Senate Committee on Aviation, Dr Abdul-fatai Bihari, and the entire family over the loss of their mother, Alhaja Abeje Buhari.
Alhaja Buhari breathed her last yesterday.
The Rector, Dr Taofeek Abdul-Hameed, in a statement by the institution’s Protocols and Public Relations Officer, Mr Sunday Adepoju, said that the death of the matriarch of Ibapon Royal dynasty remains a monumetal loss to the family, Ogbomoso, Oyo State and the nation at large.
Dr Abdul-Hameed highlighted that while the passing of Alhaja Buhari is a moment of grief, there is solace in the knowledge that she lived a life that exemplified the teachings of Islam and the sunnah of Prophet Mohammed (SWT).
The statement read in part: “I received the news of the demise of the mother of our leader, distinguished Senator Abdul-fatai Omotayo Buhari, who is currently the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Aviation.
“We are, however, consoled that our mother lived a good life.
“She will, indeed, be sorely missed.
“So, on behalf of other Principal Officers, Management, staff, students and the entire Federal Polytechnic Ayede Community, I express our condolence on the departure of our dear mother, Alhaja Abeje Buhari, who transited to the great beyond yesterday.
“We pray that Almighty Allah will grant her Aljanat Fridaus.”
