The Management of the Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Oyo State has welcomed the year 2026 with a message of hope, joy and renewed commitment to academic excellence, institutional growth and human capacity development.
The Rector of the institution, Engr. Dr. Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed, in a statement by Mr. Sunday Adepoju, acting Director of the Centre for Information, Communication and Public Relations of the institution, expressed the goodwill message of the institution.
Dr. Abdul-Hameed, Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), described 2026 as a year loaded with joy, progress, promotion, breakthroughs and unprecedented achievements for the Polytechnic community and the nation at large.
He noted that the New Year presents fresh opportunities to consolidate on past gains and chart new pathways for sustainable development.
He commended staff and students for their resilience, diligence and sense of responsibility during 2025, stressing that their collective efforts laid a solid foundation for the institution’s steady academic and infrastructural advancement.
He expressed confidence that 2026 would usher in increased productivity, improved staff welfare, academic promotions, enhanced student performance and a more conducive teaching and learning environment.
The Rector reaffirmed Management’s commitment to strengthening academic programmes, expanding infrastructure, fostering innovation, and promoting discipline and excellence across all units of the institution.
He urged staff and students to remain focused, united and committed to the core values of integrity, professionalism and service.
He further called on members of the Polytechnic community to embrace the New Year with optimism and renewed zeal, expressing hope that 2026 would bring peace, prosperity, progress and fulfilment to all.
The Rector wished staff, students and stakeholders a happy, peaceful and prosperous New Year 2026.
