The Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State has extended warm felicitations to Christians within the institution and across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration.
In a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Mr. Sanmi Enigbokan, the Rector, Dr. Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku, expressed heartfelt congratulations to the Christian faithful, urging them to reflect on the significance of the season.
Dr. Ebeloku, who spoke on behalf of the Governing Council, Academic Board, Management, Staff, and Students, described Easter as a period that symbolises sacrifice, love, and redemption, as exemplified by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
He noted that the season offers a unique opportunity for Nigerians to renew their faith, embrace hope, and remain steadfast in the face of prevailing challenges.
The Rector further called on members of the Polytechnic community and Nigerians at large to imbibe the virtues of unity, compassion, and selfless service, stressing that such values are essential for national development and peaceful coexistence.
According to him, adherence to the teachings of Jesus Christ, particularly the principle of loving one’s neighbour as oneself, remains crucial in building harmonious relationships within communities and the nation.
Dr. Ebeloku also urged Christians to celebrate the Easter season with moderation while using the period to promote peace and strengthen bonds of unity.
He prayed for God’s abundant blessings, divine guidance, and salvation for all Christians and Nigerians during and beyond the festive period.
