The Ogbomoso Indigenous Forum, Federal Polytechnic Ayede (FEDPA), Ogbomoso, Oyo State has congratulated Chief Barrister Olusegun Adeyemi Adekunle and Chief Professor Adesola Olatunde Adepoju on their chieftaincy conferment by the Soun of Ogbomosoland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, Orumogege III yesterday.
Barrister Adekunle was installed as the Asipa of Ogbomosoland while Professor Adepoju was conferred with the prestigious title of Asiwaju of Ogbomosoland, alongside their wives who were also installed as Yeye, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the growth and development of Ogbomosoland and humanity at large.
In a statement signed by the President of the Ogbomoso Indigenous Forum, FEDPA, TPL Richard Oluwaseyi Taiwo, the Forum shared in the joy of the duo, describing the conferment as well-deserved and timely.
According to the statement, both chiefs have remained steadfast supporters of the Federal Polytechnic Ayede since its establishment, offering invaluable support, guidance and interventions at critical stages of the institution’s growth.
“Chief Adekunle and Chief Adepoju have consistently demonstrated uncommon commitment to the progress of the Federal Polytechnic Ayede. Their support, guidance and interventions at critical stages of the institution’s growth have left lasting footprints that will continue to speak for them,” the statement read.
The Forum noted that the chieftaincy titles reflect the duo’s integrity, leadership qualities and selfless service to education and community development, stressing that their elevation brings pride not only to Ogbomosoland but also to the entire Polytechnic community.
The Forum further commended the Soun of Ogbomosoland for recognising excellence and service, describing Oba Olaoye’s leadership as visionary and development-driven.
“By honouring men of proven character and capacity, Kabiyesi has once again demonstrated his commitment to rewarding service and inspiring younger generations to contribute meaningfully to the development of Ogbomosoland,” the statement added.
The Ogbomoso Indigenous Forum prayed for good health, wisdom and continued success for the newly installed chiefs, urging them to sustain their support for the Federal Polytechnic Ayede and the larger Ogbomoso community.
The Forum also reaffirmed its loyalty to the management of the institution under the leadership of the Rector, Engr. Dr. Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed.
The group also reaffirmed its readiness to continue contributing to the institution’s mandate of advancing technical and technological education for national development.
