Folarin stated this, on Saturday, during a mega rally to receive defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), including three-term member representing Ibarapa Central/Ibarapa North in the House of Representatives, Hon. Muraina Ajibola, to the APC.
The rally took place at the APC permanent state secretariat, Oke Ado, Ibadan,
On the list also were: Engr Remi Oseni, 2019 governorship aspirant of African Demratic Congress (ADC); Yemi Aderibigbe, former Akinyele local government area boss and special adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde; Demola Omotoso, former Ibadan North local government area; Wasiu Emiola, former party’s state secretary; Adekola Adeoye, former Accord Party, ADC and PDP youth leader in the state; among others, with their teeming supporters and loyalists.
The ranks of the PDP further depleted as members, together with their counterparts in the ADC and Accord Party, defected to the party.
The defection rally took place at the party’s permanent secretariat, Oke Ado, Ibadan.
Folarin, who maintained that the state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, lacks leadership abilities, said he and others wouldn’t fold their hands and allow Auxiliary and others to turn the state into a place where insecurity reigns supreme.
He said, “Whatever they call his name— Auxiliary or what? He should be prepared for the consequences if he doesn’t stop attacking members of the APC. We will not fold our arms while they continue to unleash terror on our members and people. He should be warned.
”Everything our administration did, Makinde has drawn us backward. We are coming to correct that.
“When I said we set a trap for them, they thought I was talking about courts alone. No, it isn’t. They have been trapped. Was I the one who told him to be fighting his only senator, Kola Balogun, and three-term House of Representatives member, Muraina Ajibola?
“Many of his people are joining us. We decided to bring these people here today to show that their defection isn’t audio.”
