The Nigeria Diaspora for Asiwaju (NDA) has thrown its weight behind the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. Teslim Folarin.
The NDA is a support group for the 2023 presidential aspiration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The state director of the Oyo State chapter of the NDA, Hon. Toyin Abeleje, said the group is fully in support of Sen. Folarin’s governorship ambition.
The group situated its decision on what it called Sen. Folarin’s track records of experience within and outside the state.
The group noted that his experience as a three-term senator and Senate leader of the Nigeria positions him as the best candidate in the coming poll.
The group affirmed its commitment to take the bull by the horn in ensuring that the former Senate leader emerges victorious come 2023.
Speaking to PanNigerian News in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, Abeleje explained that Folarin has the economic and political wherewithal to given Oyo State.
She said, “Sen. Teslim Folarin is the only candidate that has good relationship with the APC leadership and learns from both Senator Abiola Ajimobi and Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala’s political strategies.
“His door is always open for people, irrespective of gender, religion, location, among others.
“He is widely acceptable, home and abroad, in all the zones of Oyo State (Ibadan, Ogbomoso, Oke-Ogun, Ibarapa and Oyo). His present district cuts across Ibadan, Oyo and Ogbomoso towns.”
