Dear President,
As a concerned citizen from Ogbomoso, Oyo State, I am compelled to share my thoughts on the current state of our nation. While I acknowledge the efforts being made so far to develop Nigeria, I strongly advise that more attention be focused on addressing policies that negatively impact the masses. Nigerians are, indeed, wallowing in agony, pain, and despair.
Firstly, I urge the government to reconsider the removal of fuel subsidy. This decision has caused undue hardship for millions of Nigerians, who are already struggling to make ends meet. The subsidy was a vital safety net for the poor and middle class; its removal has only exacerbated poverty and inequality.
Secondly, I advise the government to reopen the Nigerian borders, but with strict security measures in place. The closure has had devastating effects on trade, commerce, and the livelihoods of many Nigerians. However, it is crucial that we ensure the security of our nation by implementing rigorous searches and checks on all entries.
Further, I implore the government to find lasting solutions to anti-masses policies that have plagued our nation for far too long. This includes addressing issues like corruption, unemployment, and inadequate infrastructure.
Our leaders must prioritize the welfare of the people, who are the backbone of this nation. It is time for policies that promote economic growth, social justice, and human development.
I hope that these suggestions will be taken seriously, and I look forward to seeing positive changes in the lives of Nigerians.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
Yours Sincerely,
Oyetunde Amoo.
