
Mother of the publisher of the popular ‘National Insight’, an online medium, Remi Oladoye, has passed away.
This is according to an obituary announcement by the family signed by the son of the deceased Remi Oladoye.
Madam Omotayo Ibironke Oladoye (née Adegunju), died Tuesday at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, during a brief illness. She died few days to her 77th birthday.
A retired teacher she is survived by husband, children and grandchildren.
The statement reads, “With heartfelt gratitude to Almighty God for a life well spent, we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Madam Omotayo Ibironke Oladoye (née Adegunju), who slept in the Lord on June 24, 2025, after a brief illness.
“Mama Oladoye passed on at the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso. She was a dedicated and passionate teacher who served in various primary schools within Ogbomoso and retired in 2013 after 35 years of meritorious service in the education sector.
“Born on July 3, 1948, in Orile Owu, Osun State, she was united in holy matrimony with Pa Sunday Oladimeji Oladoye, and their union is blessed with wonderful children and grandchildren.
“A devout Christian and committed servant of God, Mama Oladoye lived a life of faith and service to humanity, contributing actively in various capacities within the church.”
The statement informed that burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
