The executive body of the Young Lawyers’ Forum of the Nigeria Bar Association, Ibadan Branch, has appointed Mr Tomiwa Fadeyi as Chairman for the Forum’s Academic Board.
In a letter signed by Temilehin Olayiwola, (Chairman) and Timisola Adebisi, (Secretary), the association stated that the appointment is effective from August 1 and the term will last for 22 months.
The letter also lists some of the responsibilities to be performed by Fadeyi in his role as Chairman of the Board.
The letter reads in part:
On behalf of the entire Young Lawyers’ Forum, Nigeria Bar Association, Ibadan Branch, we write to acknowledge and appreciate your attendance and contributions at the Forum’s meetings and events.
It is with glee that we wish to inform you that you have been appointed as the Chairman for the Academic Board. Your commitment, intellect and contributions in the relevant field will no doubt be an asset to the academic board and we look forward to your participation.
As a Chairman of the committee, your responsibilities will include coordinating and presiding over meetings for this board. The responsibilities also include reporting the activities of the academics board at the Forum’s meetings and working collaboratively with other members to achieve the academic board’s goals. The meeting days and venue of this academic board is your discretion, being Chairman of this Board.
We appreciate your willingness to serve on the Board and look forward to working with you.
