The global Ladoke Akintola University of Technogy (LAUTECH) Alumni Association has congratulated one of her alumni, Hon. Afeez Bolaji Repete, over his appointment as governing council member of the Federal University of Technology (FUTO), Oweri, Imo State.
Repete, a former Special Assistant to immediate past Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State on Youths and also Deputy National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), studied Agricultural Economics and Extension at LAUTECH.
The body, which lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for finding Hon. Repete worthy of the appointment, noted that it is a testament of the alumnus’ contribution to education development and the Nigeria’s development, at large.
The global President of the association, Engr. Olalekan Badmus, in a statement by the global Public Relations Officer, Dr. Obasanjo Babalola, and made available to PANNIGERIANNEWS.COM, expressed joy that the alumni of LAUTECH are contributing meaningfully not only in Nigeria but, even, at global arena.
The statement further stated that the contributions of LAUTECH products sre enormously felt in technology, science, education, ICT, agriculture, Health, environmental science, commerce snd industry, among others.
Badmus said, “I want to, on behalf of our great global Ladoke Akintola University of Technogy (LAUTECH) Alumni Association, to congratulate our comrade and partner in the LAUTECH development, Hon. Afeez Bolaji Repete, on his appointment as a member of Federal University of Technology, Oweri governing council.
“His contributions to the nation’s development are well noted in different areas. I, therefore, wish him success in the task ahead.
“Like ever before, I wish to charge Hon. Afeez Bolaji Repete to contribute meaningfully to the Development of the FUTO in his capacity as governing council member.
“I pray that more appointments are coming to LAUTECH alumni.”
Engr. Badmus also charged all alumni of the institution to contribute meaningfully to the development of their alma mater.
