The management of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has announced the end-of-year closure of the institution as part of preparations for the 2025 Yuletide season.
According to a notice, dated December 13, 2025, signed by T. A. Adeyi, Deputy Registrar, Council Affairs and Legal Matters, on behalf of the Registrar, Mrs. Olayinka O. Balogun, the closure will take effect from Monday, December 15, 2025, while academic and administrative activities will resume on Monday, January 5, 2026.
The notice explained that the university will not be opened to the public for normal business during the period of the closure, urging staff and students to take note of the development.
It further directed members of staff to ensure that all official assignments and responsibilities are concluded before the commencement of the end-of-year break.
According to the management, officers on essential services who may be required to be on duty during the period will be duly informed in line with established procedures.
Balogun added that the Vice-Chancellor, Professor R. O. Rom Kalilu, wishes members of the university community a restful end-of-year holiday and expressed hope for a prosperous 2026.
