An All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant for the Ogbomoso South State Constituency in 2027, Amb. Lateef Mobolaji Akanbi Ibrahim, popularly known as LIAM, has emerged as the Oyo State Financial Secretary of the City Boys Movement (CBM).
The City Boys Movement is a political platform mobilising support towards the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
LIAM’s emergence followed the official introduction of the Oyo State executives of the movement, a team carefully selected to coordinate, mobilise and expand its structure across all zones of the state.
Speaking with Pan-Nigerian News on Sunday, LIAM expressed gratitude to the leadership of the movement for the confidence reposed in him, assuring members of his readiness to justify the trust.
“I remain committed to the ideals of the APC and the success of our great party in forthcoming elections. The City Boys Movement provides a strategic platform to deepen grassroots engagement, empower young leaders and promote progressive governance across Oyo State,” he said.
He pledged to bring transparency, accountability and financial discipline to his new role, noting that prudent resource management would be key to sustaining the movement’s programmes and outreach activities.
LIAM, described by supporters as a topnotch philanthropist and entrepreneur, has devoted substantial personal resources to the service of humanity over the years.
Through various empowerment initiatives, community interventions as well as youth and student support programmes, he has impacted lives across Ogbomoso South and beyond.
As Chief Executive of Charoite Stones Limited and founder of The Glams Realtor, he has combined business success with social responsibility, consistently supporting widows, students and small-scale entrepreneurs.
Political observers say his emergence as Financial Secretary is expected to strengthen the administrative and financial base of the movement in Oyo State, particularly as preparations gradually build towards the 2027 general elections.
LIAM reaffirmed his dedication to inclusive leadership and sustained grassroots mobilisation, stressing that unity, strategic planning and effective coordination would remain central to achieving the movement’s objectives in the state.
