A philanthropist, entrepreneur and Oyo State Financial Secretary of the City Boys Movement, Ambassador Lateef Mobolaji Akanbi Ibrahim (popularly called LIAM), has extended warm greetings to the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
In a statement made available to Pan-Nigerian News on Thursday, LIAM congratulated Muslims in Ogbomoso, Oyo State and across Nigeria for the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan, describing the period as one of deep spiritual reflection, sacrifice, and renewed commitment to the worship of God.
He urged adherents of Islam to sustain and demonstrate the virtues imbibed during Ramadan, including love, humility, patience, compassion, and generosity, noting that such values are essential for peaceful coexistence and national development.
“Eid-el-Fitr is not only a time for celebration but also a moment to reflect on the lessons of discipline, selflessness, and devotion learned during Ramadan. I encourage all Muslims to continue to uphold these virtues in their daily lives,” he said.
The chieftain also called on Nigerians, irrespective of religious or ethnic affiliations, to embrace unity, tolerance, and mutual respect, stressing that the country’s progress depends largely on collective responsibility and harmonious living.
While wishing the Muslim faithful a joyous and peaceful Eid celebration, LIAM prayed for continued peace, stability, and prosperity in Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
He also encouraged well-meaning Nigerians to use the festive period to extend love and support to the less privileged in society, in line with the teachings of Islam.
“Let us remember the needy and continue to promote acts of kindness and charity, which are at the heart of this celebration,” he added.
