The Ogbomoso First Community Initiative has congratulated the Chairman and Chief Executive of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brigadier-General Mohammed Buba Marwa (rtd), on his reappointment for another five-year term by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a congratulatory letter signed by its President, Arc. Sakiru Akinola Suara, the group described Marwa’s renewal of appointment as a “well-deserved national endorsement” of his exceptional leadership and the transformative achievements recorded by the NDLEA under his watch.
Suara noted that Marwa’s tenure had repositioned the Agency as a globally respected institution through its vigorous fight against drug abuse, substance dependence and trafficking. He said the NDLEA’s renewed visibility, professionalism, and results-driven operations were testaments to Marwa’s strategic vision and disciplined leadership.
The group also expressed appreciation for the NDLEA boss’s support for its drug-prevalence advocacy and rehabilitation programmes in Ogbomoso, acknowledging that community-driven initiatives have benefitted immensely from his encouragement.
“As you begin this new chapter of national service, we pray for greater wisdom, strength, and accomplishments,” the letter added, affirming confidence that Nigeria will become “safer, healthier, and more hopeful” under Marwa’s continued stewardship.
The Ogbomoso First Community Initiative reaffirmed its readiness to further deepen collaboration with the NDLEA as the agency pursues its strengthened mandate in the years ahead.
