
An aspirant for the House of Representatives in Ogbomoso North, South and Oriire Federal Constituency, Dr. Oluwafemi Joshua Ayoola (popularly called OJA), has commended Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State for his infrastructural and human capital development initiatives in Ogbomosoland.
Dr. Ayoola, in a statement, hailed the governor’s plan to commence the construction of 22 inner roads across Ogbomoso, describing it as a timely intervention that would unlock economic opportunities, improve mobility and raise the standard of living in the zone.
He also applauded Gov Makinde for converting 67 non-staff security personnel of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso into ad-hoc employees of the institution and increasing their monthly allowance from ₦18,000 to ₦80,000.
According to him, the Governor had demonstrated empathy and purposeful governance by uplifting the welfare of the security guards who had served the institution for years.
The grassroots politician further commended Makinde for boosting healthcare delivery through an additional ₦35 million monthly subvention to the teaching hospital and the constitution of a governing council to enhance management efficiency and staff welfare.
Ayoola, who desires to bring succour to his constitiency if elected, noted that the inner road projects would have far-reaching socio-economic impacts by easing transportation, stimulating commerce and connecting more communities within Ogbomosoland.
He described Makinde as a listening leader whose governance style reflects empathy, foresight and commitment to inclusive growth. OJA Foundation
