The remains of the Olobamo of Obamo land in Oriire Local Government Area (Ogbomoso zone) of Oyo State, Oba. James Adegoke Olukunle Ikukola Igbalajobi, have been buried in Obamo amidst pomp and circumstance.
Oba Adegoke Olukunle 1 was buried in Obamo town after a befitting burial service held at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Ogbomoso in Saturday.

The long train of vehicles conveying his remains, families, friends as well as well wisher and subjects from Ogbomoso to Obamo was a mark of honour and respect to Late Oba Adegoke.
Earlier, in his sermon at the church service, Revd Dr. Simeon Fasoro,a one-time Minister in charge of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Ogbomoso, charged traditional rulers to always remember that it’s God who appoints them.

“Our traditional rulers should know that God appoints the. And we all must respect and cooperate with them for progress and development. The same way we should respect church leaders. Even, if people don’t support you, hold on to Christ. Do not repay evil for evil. Without having Christ, we can do but nothing,” Fasoro said.
He charged the attendees to re-examine themselves and make amends where necessary.

Many notable traditional rulers graced the occasion, including the Soun of Ogbomosoland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III, who was represented by the Soun-in-Ciuncil.
The late monarch, who was born in 1934 to the family of Ikukola Olakunle of Obamo Olodi, Okeelerin and Mama Aina Olakunle of Olohunde, Ajumobi area, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria, died on. October 10, 2024.
Among others, Kabiesi ventured into the milling and transport businesses where he made landslide successes.
He was thriving in his businesses when he was installed as the Olobamo on May 29, 1992. His reign was evidently said to have witnessed remarkable development.

The officiating ministers at the church service included Revd Dr. Simeon Fasoro; Revd Bola Ajao Samuel, First Baptist Church, Obamo; Rec’d Dr. G. S. Adedokun, Ibukun Oluwa Baptist Church; Rec’d Sunday Abiodun Ajibowu, Ayo-Igbala Baptist Church; Revd Wale Adegbola, Ona-Otito Baptist Church; Pastor M. A. Adeleye, Oke-Imole District Superintendent, Ogbomoso; Dn Abiodun Olowe, Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Other deacons of the church were Dn Abiodun Tunde Alabi and Dns Rachael Alagbe as well as the church secretary and choir master.

Speaking with pannigeriannews.com at the reception programne which held in Obamo,High Chief Dn Samson Olakunle Oladejo, Amura of Ladokun, lauded what he called the significant contributions of the late Olobamo to the land and beyond.
He prayed that God should repose the soul of Oba Adégoke.
