It was a celebration of five impactful years on the throne as the Olosupa in Olosupa community, Oriire Local Government Area of Ogbomoso Zone, Oyo State, Chief Emmanuel Olabode, marked his fifth coronation anniversary in grand style.
The event, Pan-Nigerian News reports, drew dignitaries, traditional rulers, family members and well-wishers who gathered to honour the monarch’s reign and contributions to community development.
The Olosupa royal dynasty in Ogbomoso Zone is notable for producing three traditional rulers: the Olosupa in Ogbomoso North Local Government Area, the Olosupa of Osupa-Orile in Ogo-Oluwa Local Government Area, and the Olosupa in Oriire near Ayegun community.
The thanksgiving service was held at St. Peter Apostolic Church, located at the Kojola-Alapata axis of Ogbomoso South Local Government Area.
The well-attended church programme was followed by a reception and entertainment of guests around the Aroje community of Ogbomoso.
In his remarks with Pan-Nigerian News, Chief Emmanuel Olabode expressed profound gratitude to sons and daughters of the Olosupa royal dynasty worldwide for their support and show of love towards the success of the anniversary thanksgiving service.
He noted that the unity among members of the dynasty has remained a strong pillar of progress for the community.
Other traditional rulers present at the occasion included Oba Adeniyi Amos Ayinde, Alayegun of Ayegun in Oriire LGA; Chief Adegbola Segun Ogundijo, and Chief John Adebowale Ojetunde, among others.
Chief Olabode specifically appreciated the leadership and members of the five royal families of Olosupa – Malegbe, Aleshinloye, Gbadami, Ojodu and Olokuta – commending their love, cooperation and unity of purpose, which he described as vital to the stability and advancement of the stool.
The anniversary celebration stressed the monarch’s five years of purposeful leadership, peace building and commitment to the socio-cultural development of Oriire and its environs.
