 
                Deputy Chairman of Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs, His Royal Majesty Oba Francis Olusola Alao, the Olugbon of Orile Igbon, has congratulated Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja on his coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
In a statement issued on Friday, Oba Alao described the ascension of Oba Ladoja to the exalted throne of Ibadanland as a divine fulfillment of destiny, noting that his wealth of experience as a former governor, seasoned administrator, and community leader will bring greater peace and progress to Ibadanland and Oyo State as a whole.
The Olugbon commended the Olubadan-in-Council, Ibadan elders, and the people of the ancient city for their unity and support throughout the traditional processes that culminated in the successful coronation.
He also prayed for wisdom, strength, and long life for Oba Ladoja to pilot the affairs of the Ibadan traditional institution with fairness and dignity.
“This coronation marks not only the continuation of Ibadan’s enviable traditional heritage but also a new dawn of development and inclusiveness under Kabiyesi Oba Rashidi Ladoja. I urge the people of Ibadan to rally around him and work in harmony for the progress of the land,” Olugbon stated.
Oba Ladoja, a respected statesman and former governor of Oyo State, was crowned the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland in a colourful ceremony witnessed by dignitaries, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu; governors, former governors, ministers, past and serving members of the National and State Assemblies, chairmen of agencies, traditional rulers, among others.
