
As a mark of recognition of their contributions, True Worshipers Church (TWC), Oke-Anu, Ogbomoso, last Sunday, honoured On-Air-Personalities (OAP) in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
TWC commended the awardees’ efforts and contributions to the society.
OAPs from the four FM and television stations in the zone including Ajilete FM, Parrot FM, Ogo-Ilu FM, Brave FM and the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) were represented at the event held in the church auditorium.
Aderemi Akanmu, Bolaji Sanusi, Ambassador Sanjo Saka Fẹlẹfẹlẹ, Adedamola Adebayo Àtéwógbàre Aje, Shanko Alhaji, Harnony, Baba Kwete, Ajoke Kosemani Sakora, Dele Oguntola, Boluwatife Olaniyi, Motunrayo Babatunde, Wollex Presenter were some of the over 100 awardees.
Alaaje of Aaje Ologo, HRH Reuben Adesina Amao, who conferred the awards on behalf of the church donated a sum of N50, 000 to the presenters while he gifted N20, 000 to the church.
The Oba charged them to repackage themselves for more efficiency and effectiveness, saying the award is a recognition of their efforts in new dissemination and public enlightenment. This is as he advised them “to always verify the authenticity of the news they will report. This is very important.”
Lead pastor, Rev’d Niyi Adebayo, in his sermon titled, “How to have success in this country,” with text from 1 Samuel 16: 17 – 18, emphasized the importance of developing a skill and keeping honing it, looking for knowledge continuously and exhibiting good character. He also charged on the imperative of being prayerful, dressing well and being a good speaker.
