Oyo Assemby 2027: Adegbite declares interest to run for Ogbomoso North seat

A grassroots politician and rights advocate, Mr. Adeeyo Isaac Adegbite, from Sabo/Taraa Ward 10 in Ogbomoso North Local Government Area of Oyo State, has declared his intention to contest the Ogbomoso North State Constituency seat in the 2027 general election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Hon. Adegbite, in a statement made available to newsmen, said his decision to join the race was informed by his deep-rooted understanding of the needs and challenges of the local government, noting that Ogbomoso North is too strategic to be left in the hands of political “importees.”
According to him, the desire for impactful representation at the Oyo State House of Assembly and the need to effectively project the interests of his constituents at the state level formed the basis of his ambition.
The aspirant appealed for the support of the people, stressing that his experience as a public school teacher, brief service as an administrator under the state ministry, and current role as an academic in a tertiary institution have exposed him to the realities facing students, the average citizen and young people aspiring for a better future.
He said this, coupled with his grassroots orientation, has positioned him to offer purposeful and people-centred representation if elected.
Adegbite, therefore, called on party members and residents of the constituency to support what he described as a home-grown candidacy driven by the right concepts, philosophy and commitment to service.
