A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party from Saja-Isale Ward, Ogbomoso North Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Adeniran Alagbe, has decamped to the All Progress Congress (APC), citing what he called “the incredible strides of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu” as motivation for his action.
Speaking at Oyo State Progressives monthly meeting which held at White and Black House, Oke-Ado, Ibadan, Oyo State capital today, Hon. Alagbe, who was formerly in the APC, said the step was just home-coming for him and his teeming supporters in Ogbomoso North Loval Goverment Area.
He promised the leadership of the APC an overwhelming support which, according to him, will transmit to coasting home to victory in the coming general elections.
Speaking with Pannigeriannews.com, Hon. Alagbe, who thanked the entire leadership of the APC at the grassroots, state and national levels, said his decision to join the party was facilitated by some leaders, including Barrister Lowo Obisesan.
He hinted that for about two years, Barrister Obisesan and other eminent leaders never spared efforts in asking him to come back to the party.
“Today, I will not say I joine the APC. Rather, I will say that I have come back to my natural habitat, the All Progressives Congress. And I must say that I am elated to be back here.
“Most importantly, the incredible performance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is one of the motivating factors. Even though situations seem rough in Nigeria, I am optimistic that the reforms embarked upon by Mr. President are already yielding positive results and will continue to improve the nation’s economy.
“So, I’m promising the leadership of the APC that I will contribute my quota in ensuring its victory in the coming elections.”
