Re:Claim of Appointment of Senator Brimoh Yusuf as APC Ogbomoso Zonal Leader

The attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Ogbomoso Zone has been drawn to a fictitious and unauthorized release claiming that Senator Brimoh Yusuf has been appointed as the Zonal Leader of the Party. This information is incorrect and does not reflect what transpired at the referenced meeting.

The meeting in question was convened to discuss the forthcoming nationwide membership registration exercise and to strengthen unity among major stakeholders of the Party. While the APC holds Senator Brimoh Yusuf in high esteem and acknowledges his unwavering commitment to restoring progressive governance, the communiqué circulated is entirely at variance with the agenda of the meeting.

For clarity, the leadership of the Party at the zonal level has not met to nominate, appoint, or ratify anyone for the position of Zonal Leader since the passing of the late Baba Mogaji Banji Folaranmi Olorode.

The general public is therefore urged to participate actively in the upcoming registration exercise and to refrain from actions capable of causing internal rancour within the APC.
