Eminent Nigerians, including the political class, the clergy, the academia, entertainers, among others, had celebrated the birthday of the matriarch of the Odekunle Super family of Ogbomoso yesterday.
Dns Odekunle is the wife of the late businessman, Overseer John Amole Odekunle popularly known as Baba Super.
The loving children of the celebrant included Mrs Lydia Adeomi, Dns Kehinde Adeniran, Dns Taiwo Ayoola, Dns Bukola Akande, Mr Abiodun Odekunle and Mrs Toyin Oyebamiji as well as handsome/beautiful sons-in-law and daughter-in-law.
Part of the height of the event were the renditions of panegyric of the family of Odekunle and the celebrant’s maiden family and beautiful testimonies which were shared on Dns Odekunle, whom majority of people declared as mother, mother-in-law, friend, lover of God, and above all quintessential philanthropist par excellence.
While expressing her gratitude to All graced the occasion, Dns Odekunle said, “I have come to express my profound thanks to my Maker and Redeemer. In all of this, I see God and I have not taken Excellency of God for granted.
“All of you, our dear guests, will overcome your challenges. I thank all the clergymen, the academia, my family, my friends and well wishers for your support towards the success of the auspicious occasion of my birthday which came up here today.
“I can’t thank you enough for your prayers and supports. God Almighty will celebrate you all now and forever more.”
Among others, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) senatorial candidate in Oyo North’s 2023 election and philanthropist, Hon. Akinwole Solomon Akinwale, a friend of one of the sons-in-law, Prince Adegbile Adeomi, the C.E.O. of A4 Concepts in Ogbomoso was there.
Present also were Prof. Dele Afolabi (LAUTECH); Prof. Mary Afolabi (LAUTECH); Mrs Sade Ajala, an in-law (Oyo SUPEB); a respected word smith cum Yoruba language expert and former President of Egbe Akomolede Yoruba, Ogbomoso branch, Alagba Bayo Odekunbi, with his amiable wife and Yoruba language specialist, Mrs Awujoola Odekunbi, also graced the occasion which held at Henlia Event Centre, Oke-Aanu area in Ogbomoso, was there.
De Excel Club of Ogbomoso and other groups and personalities, from far and near, too numerous to mention attended the event which was spiced up the “Ododo Emi Music Band” and moderated by MC 20 Dot.
