The Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Oyo State, Engr. Dr. Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed, has charged Muslims in the Polytechnic and across the country to learn from the life and times of Prophet Ibrahim and his virtues, adding that Nigerians should persevere and pray for the success of the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
Dr. Abdul-Hameed noted that the country would have been transformed for good if the lessons of the reasons for Eid-El- Kabir had been put into practice by all Nigerians, beyond religious divides.
He identified the core lessons of humility, sacrifice and obedience as exemplified in the life and times of Prophet Ibrahim.
A statement by the Public Relations and Protocol Officer of the Polytechnic, Mr Sunday Adepoju, and made available in Ogbomoso congratulated the entire Muslim community and Nigerians as a whole on this year’s Eid-El- Kabir festival.
The statement read in part, “Our Muslim brothers and sisters in Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Nigeria and the world at large are enjoined to learn the lessons of humility, sacrifice and obedience to God from Prophet Ibrahim and practicalise the lessons.
“I, therefore, congratulate all Nigerians on this festival.”
The statement also quotes Dr Abdul-Hameed saying, “The success of Nigeria should be our collective efforts. We all, as Nigerians, must persevere in the leadership of His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu, GCFR. We should continue to pray for the success of the administration on our part. Our prayers are potent tools for the peace, growth and development of Nigeria.
“It is, indeed, our prayer that things will turn better by the grace of Allah in Nigeria. We have no doubt that President Bola Tinubu came prepared for the task of rebuilding the system for the good of all sundry.”
