Fed Poly Ayede Rector delivers Kwara Poly’s 29th Convocation Lecture Wednesday

The Rector of Federal Polytechnic Ayede located in Oyo State, Engr Dr Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed, will, on Wednesday, deliver the 29th Convocation Lecture of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.
This is part of the activities marking the 29th Convocation Ceremony of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, an institution established in 1973.
According to information by the Convocation Planning Committee of the Polytechnic, the Chief Host of the event will be Kwara State governor, Malam AbdulRahman Abdulrasak while the host will be the Rector of the institution, Engr Dr Abdul Jimoh Muhammed.
The various events marking the ceremony are slated for two days, Wednesday, November 8 and Thursday, November 9, 2023.
Titled “Technological Innovation: A Panacea to Emerging National Challenges”, the Convocation Lecture will hold at Rear Admiral Muhammed Alabi Lawal Auditorium of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.
Other programmes slated for the ceremony include joint prayers for Muslims and Christians at the Polytechnic Central Mosque and Chapel respectively; press conference; commissioning of projects executed through the internally generated revenues (IGR) and exhibition.
Federal Polytechnic Ayede, sited in Ayede community, Ogbomoso zone of Oyo State, was among the six Polytechnics established by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 2021 and had kickstarted administrative and academic activities at its takeoff site in Iresa-Pupa, Surulere local government area of Oyo State.
Pannigeriannews.com reports that both Dr Abdul-Hameed and the Rector of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Engr Dr Abdul Jimoh Muhammed, are outstanding scholars of high repute and Fellows of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE).
It is also noted that the duo are holders of two separate doctoral degrees each from reputable universities and had been widely published locally and internationally.

M. Adepoju; Dean, School of Environmental Technology, Arch. Dr Kolawole Opeyemi Morakinyo; Acting Dean, Student Affairs, Mr Musbau O. Afolabi.
Others are Acting Director of Procurement, Dr Lateef K. Ajao; Acting Director of Polytechnic Consults, Mr Saheed Abiodun Tijani; Head of Academic Affairs, Mr Samuel Dare and Mr Sunday Adepoju, Head of Protocols and Public Relations.
