In an effort to mitigate palpable rift among major contenders eyeing the 2023 presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the South-West, leaders have scheduled a meeting with the aspirants from the zone.
The founding national chairman of the APC, Chief Bisi Akande; former Ogun State governor, Chief Olusegun Osoba and other stakeholders are the conveners of the parley billed for Lagos State Government House in Marina, on Friday.
The conveners of the meeting, PANNIGERIAN NEWS learnt, are worried about the cold war already generated by the ambition of the aspirants, a development which they consider unhealthy for the zone.
Expected to attend are: APC national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi and Senator Ibikunle Amosun, former governor of Ogun State.
The gladoators have all declared interest to contest the 2023 presidency.
