A leading socio-cultural organisation, Ogbomoso First Community Initiative (O ‘First Group), on Tuesday, donated medical equipment to the Primary Health Centre, Iresaapa in Surulere local government area of Oyo state.
The donation, which was made in collaboration with the National Lottery Trust Fund, included delivery set, oxygen cylinder, pulse oximeter, matresses, pedal bin, foldable stretcher, medicine trolley, wheel chairs,
non-rebreather mask, leather apron, autoclave drum and gallipots.
Others were kidney dish, baby tray, sphygmomanometer, oxygen regulator, wall thermometer, bedside locker, suction machine, examination gloves, stethoscope and others.
The President of the group, who is the immediate past Permanent Secretary, General Service Office (GSO), Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), Barrister Olusegun Adeyemi Adekunle, said the support was to enhance health care in the rural area for the under served.
The pioneer President of the organisation, who now heads its Board of Trustees, Otunba Bayo Babatunde, and other members as well as representatives of the National Lottery Trust Fund were at the presentation.
PANNIGERIAN NEWS reliably gathered that the group has been playing a significant a leading role in the development of Ogbomosoland through various humanitarian services, empowerment programmes, and construction of Behavioural Action Care Centre at Oke Osuru, Ogbomoso to rehabilitate people who abuse drugs, especially the young generation.
The Aresapa of Iresaapa in Surulrere local government area, Oba Moses Olayiwola Ajiboye, who recieved the medical items, appreciated the group for its gestures and prayed for strength to do more.
