The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the coming chairmanship election for Ogbomoso North Loca Government Area, Hon. Joshua Oladunni, was today absent at a public debate in Ogbomoso.
The debate, which was organised by Brave 91.1 FM, Igbo Ile, Ogbomoso in Surulere Local Government Area, took place at Resource Centre, opposite Brave FM in Igbo Ile.
The two candidates in the election, Hon. Joshua Oladunni of the APC and Hon. George Ogunlade of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were invited for the exercise.
Speaking at the exercise, the General Manager of the broadcast station, Amb. Sanjo Saka Felefele, said the forum was intended to deepen democracy and improve governance at the grassroots.
He said stated that legal expert, Barrister Lekan Olatoyinbo and ace broadcaster, Mr. Dele Oguntola were panelists.
Ogunlade, who dwelled on what he called his wide experience, said if he wins the coming April 27 chairmanship election in the council area, his government would be centred on health, education, youth empowerment, infrastructure, among others.
The debate also had in attendance the chaurperson of Ogbomoso Central LCD, Hon. Adijat Are my (Rainbow); Ogunlade’s running mate, Hon. Taofeek Salawu; PDP chairman in the council area, Mr Ibrahim Hamzat; councillorahip candidates and other members of the party.
