LG poll: Iwajowa chairman-elect belauds Makinde, Dep. Gov, Farinto, others over victory

The Chairman- elect of Iwajowa Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Muritala Abiodun Oyewumi (a.k.a Natural), has belauded the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and
other stakeholders over the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last Saturday’s local government elections.
Hon. Oyewumi also thanked the state Deputy Governor, Barr. Bayo Lawal; Asiwaju Adeniyi Farinto and Hon. Hakeem Adedibu for the unalloyed support extended to him during the struggle that culminated in his landslide victory and those of other chairmen-elect and councillors-elect in the entire Oke-Ogun Zone and Oyo State at large.
Oyewumi, who explained that the victory of the party portends greater victory for the PDP come 2027, also appreciated the support of the PDP State Executives, PDP leaders in Iwajowa Local Government Area, Traditional Council of Obas and Chiefs in Iwajowa, youth and students arm in Iwajowa, women wing of the party, security agencies and religious leaders and the PDP faithful and every indigene of Iwajowa LGA.
Hon. Oyewumi, a product of the University of Ibadan and ex-student union leader in Oke-Ogun Zone, said the success of the party is a victory geared towards deepening democracy at the grassroots.
In a release he personally signed and made available to Pannigeriannews.com on Thursday, Hon. Oyewumi maintained that the good governance staged by Governor Seyi Makinde would be replicated in Iwajowa.
He said, “I want to sincerely congratulate the good people of Iwajowa Local Government Area of Oyo State on the outcome of the last grassroots elections during which the Peoples Democratoc Party (PDP) won resoundingly.
“The victory is, therefore, a replication of the good governance of our amiable leader and the People’s Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde.
“I also want to wholeheartedly appreciate the role of our dogged Deputy Governor, Barr. Bayo Lawal, and my dynamic leader, Asiwaju Adeniyi Farinto for their untiring quintessential roles during and before the elections and even up till now.
“I see it as a privilege and I must also extol Hon. Hakeem Adedibu, PDP State Executives, PDP leaders, Iwajowa Local Government Area, Traditional Council of Obas and Chiefs in Iwajowa, youth and students arm in Iwajowa, women wing of the party, security agencies, religious leaders and the good people of Iwajowa.”
