A multifaceted businessman and former vice chairman of Surulere Local Government Area of Oyo State, Alhaji Adedokun Ganiyu Adeshina, will on May 24 this year be installed as the Aremo Oranmiyan of Oko Kingdom by the Oranmiyan of Oko Kingdom, Oba Solomon Olagoke Akinola Oyeyode 111.
The close ally of former three-term member representing Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency, Hon. Segun Odebunmi Bunvic, is the Chairman, Shyna Crown Investments Nigeria Limited.
He will also, on May 25, be celebrating his 50th birthday.
Oko Kingdom, an ancient community in Surulere Local Government Area of Oyo State was founded by the historic Oranmiyan who left Ile-Ife, the cradle of Yoruba civilisation, for Oyo-Ile.
The celebrant, whose business interests span oil and gas, property, roduce buying and agriculture, studied Accounting and Finance at Federal Polytechnic Ede, Osun State.
Speaking with journalists in Ogbomoso, Shyna Crown, as fondly called said it is an honour to be the Aremo of the entire Kingdom and promised to continue to use his position to promote Oko Kingdom and the entire Yoruba nation.
He added that the Installation will hold at the Oranmiyan Palace, Oko while the golden jubilee birth anniversary will hold at Yiron Event Centre, Iresapa Road, Ogbomoso.
Meanwhile, an ally of the celebrant and Director of Centre for Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (CASES) at Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Prince Oluwaseun Owojori, while speaking to pannigeriannews.com, said the selection of Alhaji Adedokun as the Aremo of Oko Kingdom was a round peg in a round hole, adding that his commitment will further deepen the culture and tradition of Oko Kingdom and the entire Yoruba ethnic nationality.
