The Protocols and Public Relations Unit of Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Ogbomoso, Oyo State has felicitated a public relations practitioner and staff of the instution, Mr. Samson Adeolu Oladejo, on his induction into the prestigious Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) today.
This was conveyed in a congratulatory message by the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Mr. Sunday Adepoju, on behalf of the Protocol and Public Relations Unit and made available to PANNIGERIANNEWS.COM.
Noting that the unit is daily excelling in its operations, Mr. Adepoju, a former journalist with the Nigerian Tribune and one time lecturer at the Department of Mass Communication, University of Calabar, said the institution is blessed with experts in different angles of communication, media and public relations.
“The feat of the induction of Mr. Samson Oladejo into the prestigious and largest public relations body in Africa, the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), did not come as a surprise, owing to his understanding of the dynamics of the profession. Oladejo remains committed to excellence in public relations and the development of Federal Polytechnic Ayede, using the profession’s different tools.
“We are, therefore, grateful to the Management and Governing Council of the Polytechnic for providing opportunities for us to grow in our practice of image making and reputation management.
“So, on behalf of the Protocol and Public Relations Unit of Federal Polytechnic Ayede, I congratulate Mr. Samson Oladejo on this feat. Higher and higher still,” Adepoju said.
Mr. Oladejo who has had stints in different areas of communication and public relations, was inducted alongside Senior Special Assistant on Communication to Kwara State Governor/Chairman Nigeria Governor’s Forum (NGF), Ibraheem Abdullateef; Public Relations Officer; Nigeria Customs Service, Lagos Free Trade Zone Command; Information Officer, Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC),
Badmus Olawale, among others.
At the induction ceremony held today in Abuja, the NIPR registrar Mr. Uzoma Onyegbadue, charged the newly inducted members to live up to expection in upholding the ethics of the profession.
Onyegbadue noted that public relations, as a profession, is for image makers who understand what it means to represent their organization for proper image making and development.
Mr. Oladejo, who attended the induction ceremony virtually, appreciated God for the laudable feat and promised to continue to uphold the tenets of the profession, nothing that he would never compromise the standard.
Oladejo holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communication from the prestigious The Polytechnic, Ibadan; Post-Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Public Relations, BSc. Mass Communication (in view) from Precious Cornerstone University, Ibadan.
Mr. Oladejo earlier worked with Hallmark University, Ogun State; The Polytechnic Ibadan; Adecom Polytechnic, Ibadam. His research works were delved on public relations, be and print journalsm, among others. He is a renowned academic with national and international experiences and award.
