A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Prince Kayode Oyetunde Bayewuwon (PKOB), said he had been introduced to politics at the tender age of 7 years.
Prince Bayewuwon also stated that hew was endeared to politics by the tenets and ideals of the late sage and former Premier of the Western Region, Chief Obafemi Awolowo.
Bayewuwon, a Prince of the Laoye Ruling House of the Soun of Ogbomosoland, the family that produced the present Soun, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, Orumogege III, disclosed this on Tuesday in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
He said his focus hinges on alleviating suffering of the less privileged in the state.
Coming with an avalanche of experiences from the United Kingdom, Bayewuwon highlighted that his involvement and interest in politics would centre on people’s welfare and empowerment.
“Having consulted enormously, people said I should contest for political office, and I’m ready, I will carry people along in all the decisions and policies I will implement, the passion to help people is one of what prompted my aspiration.
“I’m passionate about the progress and developement of this state. Oyo State is a pacesetter-state, I want to set a standard for the state.
“One of my aims is to priotise sports developement in the state, revisit curriculum of education so as to reduce wasting of talents and make the state the best in education.”
Bayewuwon stated his commitment on touching lives across the state.
