Ogbomoso Cradles Carnival 2025 holds inaugural committee meeting at Soun’s Palace

The new Ogbomoso Cultural and Tourism Committee, saddled with the mandate organising the second edition of the popular Ogbomoso Cradles Carnival 2025 has held its inaugural meeting immediately after the inauguration at the Palace of Ogbomoso yesterday, 6th July, 2025.
Led by the immediate past Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Information, National Orientation, Values and Ethics, and Chairman Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority Hon. Segun Odebunmi, as inaugurated by His Imperial Majesty Oba Gandhi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III, Soun of Ogbomosoland, the committee said that it immediately hit the ground running.
Odebunmi commended Oba Olaoye and his development agenda for Ogbomosoland as encapsulated in 25-Year Development Plan of the traditional rulers.
Odebunmi, while briefing newsmen after the meeting, appreciated Oba Olaoye for finding him worthy to chair the committee, adding that the assignment is a call to serve Ogbomosoland.
He then charged all members of the committee and all sons and daughters, including residents and lovers of Ogbomosoland to contribute maximally to the deployment and progress of Ogbomosoland.
The committee comprises Hon. Segun Dokun Odebunmi, Chairman;
Dr. Oladejo Akanni Ayano Vice Chairman;
Mr. Akinpelu Muyiwa Oke, Secretary; Engr. Tunde Ige; Mrs Mosunmola Olojede; Prince Oyebamiji Oyedeji; Mr. Boluwaji Ige; Mrs Toyin Ajani; Hon. Bisi Oluranti.
Also in the committee are Fisayo Alabi; Pa Afolabi Olanira; Adedokun Sijuade; Benedit Ayoola; Olori Nike Olugbodi; Banji Ojo; Mr. Gbile Adeomi; Barr. Bayo Kareem; Mrs Motunrayo Babatunde; Mrs. Lateefat Modupe Lamidi and Mrs. Eyinoye Wande.
The committee pledged its commitment and loyalty to Soun and Ogbomosoland as a whole in achieving the 25-year Development Plan of HIM Oba Gandhi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III.
