The Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, has congratulated Governor Seyi Makinde and Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (a.k.a. Don) on the electoral victory in the just-concluded by-election election for Ibadan North Federal Constituency.
In a statement issued on Sunday through his Senior Legislative Assistant on Media Strategy and Public Communication, Mr. Aremu Mikky Adeyemi, Hon. Adedoyin described the victory of Hon. Oyekunle as a testament to the leadership qualities of Governor Makinde as well as the grassroots acceptability of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) across Oyo State.
“The success of Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle reflects not only his proven track record as a lawmaker but also the trust and confidence reposed in him by the people of Ibadan North,” Adedoyin stated.
The lawmaker, who represents Ogbomoso South State Constituency, recalled Oyekunle’s performance in the 9th Oyo State House of Assembly, describing him as “a leading light and torchbearer, whose eloquence, vibrancy, commitment and hard work contributed immensely to the success of the Assembly.”
Hon. Adedoyin further noted that Oyekunle’s election holds valuable lessons for the political class, stressing that loyalty, commitment and service to the people remain the foundation for enduring political success.
“As a former colleague, I am confident that Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle will bring fresh ideas and renewed energy to Ibadan North Federal Constituency, just as he did while serving in the 9th Oyo Assembly,” he stated.
