
Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso will tomorrow, October 15, 2025, commence its First International Conference of the Faculty of Environmental Sciences (LICFES), themed “Economic Reforms and its Impacts on Sustainable Built Environment.”
The conference, which will run from October 15 to 17, 2025, is expected to hold at Ogbomoso Recreation Club, Ogbomoso.
The conference will bring together leading academics, professionals, policy makers, and industry stakeholders to discuss how economic policies and reforms influence the future of the built environment, urban development, and environmental sustainability.
According to the organisers, the conference aims to serve as a platform for meaningful engagement, scholarly exchange, and innovation in addressing sustainability challenges within the built environment sector.
Keynote speakers at the conference will be Prof. Kolapo Olusola Eleka of Osun State University, Osogbo; Prof. Eziyi Offia Ibem, University of Nigeria, Nsukka; Prof. James Chakwizira, University of Venda, South Africa; Arc. Mobolaji Adeniyi, President of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA); Dr. Ogunbayo Babatunde from Williams V. S. Tubman University, Republic of Liberia.
The sub-themes of the conference cover a wide range of topics such as Economic Policies and Sustainable Property Development; Construction Innovation and Sustainability; Architecture and Green Building; Smart Solutions for a Resilient Built Environment; Visual Art for Sustainable Economy; Policy and Governance in Built Environment; Spatial Planning and Economic Reforms; Environmental Challenges and Geospatial Solutions.
