The Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, has commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his unprecedented move by embarking on the construction of 21 inner roads in Ogbomoso.
Hon. Adedoyin, representing Ogbomoso South State Constituency, made the commendation during a plenary session on Thursday, saying the move aimed at boosting the local economy and easy accessibility.
He equally praised the Governor’s efforts to address the challenges facing LAUTECH Teaching Hospital and increasing the allowance of security guards from ₦18,000 to ₦80,000 with immediate effect.
Governor Makinde had recently met with several stakeholders at the hospital to address their grievances and later visited the Soun of Ogbomoso to assure him of his administration’s commitment to reconstructing inner roads in the town.
Following the meeting, the Governor announced several measures to addressing the hospital’s challenges, including the establishment of a Governing Council, integration of non-staff security personnel into the hospital’s system, and a ₦35 million increase in monthly subvention.
Adedoyin lauded Governor Makinde’s leadership prowess, describing him as a good leader committed to serving the people.
He emphasised the importance of investing in infrastructure to create a livable environment for residents and future generations.
The lawmaker also commended the Governor’s focus on healthcare delivery, particularly his efforts to address the challenges facing LAUTECH Teaching Hospital.
According to him, Governor Makinde’s initiatives have earned him commendations across the country, including from the Conference of Majority Leaders, Southwest zones, who were impressed by his good governance.
The commendation was given at the conference they held at Abeokuta two weeks ago, describing him as an exemplary leader who has the interest of the people at heart and at all times.
Adedoyin, however, expressed optimism that the inner roads project will be economically viable for Ogbomoso when completed, further solidifying the governor’s reputation as a champion of development.
